Nathan Ellis

Nathan Ellis is a right-arm pace bowler who joined Hampshire Hawks for the 2022 Vitality Blast.

He was born in Greenacre, New South Wales and has represented his home nation in both white-ball formats at international level.

The 26-year-old fast bowler has had a profitable time with Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL) and, since making his debut in 2018, he has made 39 appearances - taking 44 wickets at an average of 26.20.

In 2021, he was rewarded with a call-up to Australia’s IT20 squad for the series against Bangladesh where he became the first ever player to take a hat-trick on debut in an IT20. He was then named as one of three players as injury cover in Australia's squad for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

Most recently, the Indian Premier League (IPL) side, Punjab Kings, purchased Ellis in the auction for the 2022 tournament, before he was selected in his country’s ODI squad for their tour of Pakistan.
