Dementia Friendly Stadium

Hampshire Cricket in the Community is working in partnership with Alzheimer's Society, Andover Mind and Age Concern to make the Utilita Bowl a Dementia Friendly Stadium. As part of the ongoing project staff will become Dementia Friends and the charity will be supporting people living with dementia to attend cricket matches at the Utilita Bowl.

In 2015, Hampshire Cricket in the Community ran two "Dementia Days" at LV County Championship matches at the Utilita Bowl providing an accessible opportunity for 40 people living with dementia to reconnect with the sport. Events were supported by Hampshire Cricket Members and Youth Ambassadors who chatted with spectators about recent changes at the Utilita Bowl and reminisced about the great Hampshire teams of years gone by.
