Ed Francis Biography

I have a passion for helping people and, having used the techniques I have learnt on myself for personal development, I now use these skills with my clients to make changes in their lives. Learning about the human mind has given me the opportunity to pass on my skills in order to help others and I understand how hard it can be to make those changes without support. I have given up smoking and overcome a fear of spiders and other challenges in my own life.

I specialise in helping people to manage stress and anxiety issues including fears and phobias. However, hypnotherapy can also support other concerns including weight loss, depression, sleep problems and other medical issues.

I trained with The Surrey College of Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy (SCCP) and gained my Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy (DCH) in 2013 and I continue to develop my practice with the SCCP to further my knowledge and skill base.

I would consider myself a 'therapist' than a 'hypnotherapist' simply because I do not always use hypnosis, I have a wide range of skills, approaches and techniques that I am able to use which include NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), psycho-therapeutic methods, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Brief Strategic Therapy, Counselling, and EFT/Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique).
