The County Grants Fund aims to support affiliated cricket clubs to create welcoming environments, provide enhanced facilities and playing opportunities, and to help clubs tackle the impact of climate change.
In the first round of the ECB County Grants Fund (2021-2022), 23 Hampshire clubs were awarded a total of £203,000.
In order to exceed ECB 'soft targets', HCB aims to spend a minimum of 20% of our budget on the Tackling Climate Change theme over the lifetime of the grant fund. We also aim to spend a minimum of 20% on the Providing Enhanced Facilities and Playing Opportunities theme. Round 1 priorities are below, with further rounds announced later in the year.
This year, applications will be prioritised as follows:
*clubs not in receipt of an ECB County Grant award 2021-22
Dependent on budget allocation, awards for previously successful clubs may be limited to 50% of the maximum grant or ammount applied for. Clubs may apply for an ECB Trust Interest Free Loan as part of the County Grants Fund application process.
We recommend that clubs read and digest the ECB's Creating Welcoming Environments guide before submitting an expression of interest.
