Wicketz is a community cricket programme, funded by Lords Taverners, targeting areas of deprivation, high population and urban communities. The programme is aimed at boys and girls aged 8-19 and seeks to provide weekly cricket opportunities, alongside themed life-skill workshops designed to help young people gain understanding, qualifications and improve their lives.
Our Southampton Wicketz programme launched at the end of 2018 and we have established a number of Wicketz hub locations, which are very well attended by young people from urban communities. Our sessions reach over 100 young people from Southampton per week.
