Schools

Primary Schools

We aim to embed cricket across the curriculum and support schools to establish strong links with local cricket clubs.

Our partnership with Chance to Shine allows us to provide free or heavily subsidised programmes in primary schools, all of which are delivered by appropriately qualified coaches.

Our programmes include sessions within the curriculum and after school clubs as well as opportunities to enter local and county based competitions, allowing pupils to put their new skills into practice!  Each programme will also have a specific focus, such as establishing girls cricket in a school or helping players to join local clubs.

Teachers work alongside coaches during sessions to develop their knowledge and skills, giving them the confidence to deliver cricket independently.  They are also encouraged to attend informal or formal England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) teacher training courses run by Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) tutors.

Secondary Schools

Similarly to the primary school programme, we support schools to develop strong links with clubs and support teachers through year round curriculum or extra curricular based sessions.

We coordinate a range of inter school competitions which cater for all levels and are designed to inspire students to continue their involvement in cricket at school and at local cricket clubs.

Work with us

Out team of Community Coaches deliver our schools programme across the county but we are always looking for ECB Level 2 (or equivalent) coaches to assist in their local area. Contact our Schools Engagement Manager for more information.
