Portmore was established in 2006 in response to what it’s directors perceived was a need for a broker who could offer the service levels of a niche broker but with the placement capability of a national broker.

Their market capabilities extend from Lloyd’s underwriters to London market insurers through to household name company markets to Global insurance operators. This enables them to provide their clients with a range of alternatives giving them a greater choice.

Since their incorporation they have gained a reputation for being able to provide clear and concise programmes for a wide variety of industry sectors encompassing both standard and non-standard insurance solutions.

They handle insurance portfolios for private companies through to Plc’s and charitable organisations through to the Private sector whether these are UK domiciled businesses or Global organisations.

This has been recognised at national level as they are only one of 11 brokers from some 3,500 currently in the UK who are authorised by the government to quote and place Public sector business under the GPS framework agreement.
