Clubs and community groups can currently take advantage of a variety of ECB funding streams.

Inspired to Play

The Inspired to Play scheme aims to increase the number of children (boys and girls) and/or women participating in the game by supporting the delivery of new/enhanced recreational cricket activity in England and Wales during the months of June - September 2021.

Your Club can apply for a grant of £1,000 and/or £250 to help your Club open up for new and current players this summer.

As an example, clubs could use this fund to;

  • Run All Stars &/or Dynamos programmes through summer holidays
  • Set up/host junior fixture hubs during August and September
  • Amplify existing or create new events linked to Women's Cricket Month (see below)
  • Return to Cricket Men's softball events
  • Reach areas of your local community who are not currently engaging with the club

Money is awarded on a first come, first served basis. Applications open until 30th June or when all money is allocated.

To apply, please register your club on ECB’s Investment Management System (or log in if already registered) and select “Inspired to Play” from the list of funding programmes

LV= General Insurance and the ECB have partnered to bring to life a £1million fund #Funds4Runs, providing financial support across the grassroots cricket community and giving free cricket places for children in deprived areas.

This fund will be focused on recovering and rebuilding the lives of children from deprived backgrounds, diverse communities, disability groups and women's and girls programmes.

Clubs and community groups can use this fund to:

  • Connect communities and improve lives through cricket
  • Increase the relevance of cricket locally with non-cricket stakeholders
  • Grow long-term engagement with cricket in communities
