There are opportunities to introduce both new players to the game through our softball initiative (W10) and for players seeking the traditional hardball game. Hampshire is one of the few counties with a women’s competition structure, and plays host to Kia Super League champions the Southern Vipers.
For Women looking to start playing the game, W10 is aimed at players aged 12 plus, and it is proving popular and growing fast.
Offers women and older girls cricket in a fast, exciting format. A fun and exciting way for women to socialise and try a new sport regardless of age and ability.
New for 2021 - two formats of W10!
Hampshire Cricket Board works very closely with the Hampshire Cricket League. The league consists of 21 teams competing across three divisions. Division three is very much a development league and is aimed at attracting new clubs. Numbers of players per side and overs played is flexible .
The Hampshire Cricket League Women’s sub-committee exists to review current playing formats and to consider views from clubs and players to advance the women's game. Contact Chair Emma Cowdrill with any suggestions or thoughts on the Women’s League.
