The Ageas Bowl Charity Fashion Show Raises More Than £16,000

The Lashes Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show was organised in support of the Hampshire Cricket Sports Foundation

The second Lashes Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show held at the The Ageas Bowl, organised in support of the Hampshire Cricket Sports Foundation, has raised more than £16,000.

A fabulous day was had by all at the home of Hampshire Cricket, with brilliant weather encouraging more than 180 ladies of Hampshire to arrive in summer dresses to enjoy the red carpet treatment courtesy of a champagne and Pinkster Gin reception with canapés, stalls to browse and a delicious lunch.

The highlight of the afternoon was the extravagant fashion show choreographed by Lisa Shaw, ex-professional model, with no less than eight male and eight female models volunteering their time to take part, including a handful of Hampshire Cricket players and staff - hair and make up looking stunning through the hands of Lisa Griffiths and Julie West.

Celebrity international hairdresser, Guy Kremer, was also on hand giving live hair demonstrations on stage throughout the day, the whole event being hosted by Premier League and Final Score’s, Michael Kurn with the event’s auction made entertaining by comedian, Adger Brown.

The models took to the catwalk to feature collections from Sakks Menswear, Moda Rosa, Devernois, Cupid Blue Bridal Gown, Bojangles Boutique, Fitique Fitness Boutique and Wool & The Gang, as the audience were treated to a performance featuring a vast array of music and beautifully choreographed routines, showcasing a broad range of clothing suitable for all ages and sizes.

The generosity shown by all of those in attendance was fantastic. Thanks must go to Jude’s Ice Cream, Diguru Creative Print and of course the The Ageas Bowl, with particular mention for lead sponsors Barker-Mill Foundation and local family business, Bradbeers who made particularly generous donations to help us reach a total we are all proud of.

All proceeds from the day will help Hampshire Cricket Sports Foundation, the The Ageas Bowl’s Community Charity, which is focused on supporting children in the local community to lead active and healthy lifestyles – every penny raised will go directly to this cause which will help have a positive impact within the local community.

The next fundraising event for the charity will be the NatWest IT20 fixture between England and South Africa on Wednesday 21st June at the The Ageas Bowl, where a donation will be made for every ticket purchased.
