Charlotte Edwards Represents Southern Vipers At Champions Event

Charlotte Edwards brought along the Kia Super League trophy at the event at Merchant Taylors' School

Southern Vipers captain Charlotte Edwards was part of an exciting launch event this week, where the winners of England's four major domestic competitions showcased their silverwear ahead of the start of the new 2017 season.

Edwards, who led the Vipers to the inaugural Kia Super League title last year, was on-hand to discuss the prospects for the upcoming campaign, alongside ECB Director of England Women's Cricket, Clare Connor.

It’s a visual reminder for the game that we now have four major trophies on offer in our domestic season.

We were all delighted by the impact made in the first KSL season, culminating in Charlotte and the Southern Vipers beating Western Storm on Finals Day at Chelmsford, and we’re excited by the prospects for 2017. It’s brilliant for the women's game to see the KSL sitting alongside all the other competitions and series that are coming up in England and Wales this summer.
