Early Demand Sees England v Sri Lanka IT20 Sell Out Before General Sale

Non-Member tickets for the Vitality IT20 at The Ageas Bowl on Saturday 26th June 2021 have sold out following the culmination of the ticket ballot

Tickets for The Ageas Bowl’s Vitality IT20 between England and Sri Lanka on Saturday 26th June 2021 have sold out before the commencement of the general sale.

In response to significant demand for tickets for recent international fixtures, tickets to this summer’s international match at The Ageas Bowl were subject to a priority sale and ballot. Following yesterday’s conclusion of the ballot, all available non-Hampshire Member tickets have been purchased.

Hampshire Cricket have ring-fenced an allocation of seats for 2021 Hampshire Cricket Members, with a Hampshire Membership now the only way to access tickets for the fixture.

Fans have been able to secure their place at this summer’s match with confidence, knowing that all tickets purchased for the fixture are covered by The Ageas Bowl’s Ticket Refund Promise, which means that should fans be unable to attend because the match is cancelled, played-behind-closed doors or with a limited capacity, a full refund will be given.

It has been very pleasing to see such exceptional demand for this summer’s Vitality IT20.

Whilst 2020 presented a number of challenges for the game, we were delighted to play our part in hosting a busy schedule of bio-secure, behind-closed-doors fixtures and we’re looking forward to a memorable summer of action this year.

Assuming government guidance allows, the prospect of safely welcoming fans back to The Ageas Bowl is something we’re all really excited about.

David Mann, Chief Executive, The Ageas Bowl

Eoin Morgan’s men return to The Ageas Bowl this summer following a 2020 schedule which saw the home of Hampshire Cricket host nine international fixtures – with all matches played behind-closed-doors in a bio-secure environment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This summer’s fixture, which is part of a three-match Vitality IT20 series preceding a three-match Royal London Series against Sri Lanka, is part of a full calendar of international matches set to be hosted across England and Wales in 2021.

As well as the huge early demand for tickets, the venue’s range of hospitality packages have also proved popular. The packages that remain are available to view via the link below.
