Felix Organ Pens New Hampshire Deal

New deal keeps the all-rounder at The Ageas Bowl until at least the end of the 2024 season

Hampshire Cricket all-rounder Felix Organ has signed a new contract with the Club, keeping him at The Ageas Bowl until at least the end of 2024.

The 23-year-old, who was born in Sydney, Australia, impressed in Hampshire’s age-group, Academy and Second XI sides, before making his First XI debut in a County Championship match against Middlesex in September 2017, aged just 18.

Playing for Hampshire has been my whole life, so to be able to extend this journey means so much to me. From my development through the world-class Academy to being in the first-team set-up now, I have been privileged to be a part of a Club that cares about its players across all age-groups.

After an encouraging and successful season last year, we are now working towards growing and developing even further to secure even more success for this great Club. Hopefully we can win some more trophies in that time, and I can be a part of that.

Felix Organ

The former Hampshire Academy captain has made 55 appearances for the Club across all formats and has become a valuable member of the senior squad, especially in the red-ball and one-day competitions.

Having started the 2022 season batting at seven in the County Championship, Organ was pushed to the top of the order, where he excelled. Producing 726 runs at an average of 31.57 with two centuries – including a career best of 118 against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham – his impressive performances were backed up by ten wickets as he played in all 14 games for Hampshire.

He then showed his leadership skills as one of the more experienced members of a youthful Royal London Cup side. His 140 runs and five wickets helped the side progress all the way to the semi-final, before narrowly losing out to Kent Spitfires – despite Organ recording a half-century.

Felix is a versatile cricketer and infectious character who adds in equal measure both on and off the pitch.

It’s been great to see his development through the Academy and into the senior side and we are delighted that he will remain at The Ageas Bowl for some time to come.

His game continues to develop, and we look forward to seeing him build on an encouraging 2022.
