Hampshire Captain James Vince Selected For England Men's Tour Of Bangladesh

Hampshire Club Captain James Vince has been included in England Men’s ODI squad for their tour of Bangladesh.

Vince featured for England in their three-match ODI series in Australia after the conclusion of the Men’s T20 World Cup, with the right hander scoring 87 runs with a best of 60 in the second match at Sydney.

Vince has been scoring heavily in the inaugural ILT20 league in the UAE, where he has racked up 255 runs in just six matches, with a high score of 83* at an average of 51, with a strike rate into the 140s.

England’s tour of Bangladesh starts on 1^st of March with the first One Day International, followed by the IT20 series on 9^th March.

Uncapped Somerset batter Tom Abell, who is set to captain the England Lions in the upcoming ODI series in Sri Lanka, is included in both squads while Leicestershire leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed earns his first call-up to an England white-ball squad.

Saqib Mahmood is recalled to the ODI squad as he prepares to make his return to full international cricket following the back injury he suffered last May.

The three-match IT20 series will be England’s first since being crowned world champions at last November’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
