Hampshire Cricket College Open Evenings Announced

The first Hampshire Cricket College Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 21st November

Hampshire Cricket College are pleased to confirm an Open Evening event at the The Ageas Bowl on Wednesday 21st November.

The government funded programme, which first launched in 2016, offers a thorough two-year education course with students working towards an extended diploma BTEC in Sport Studies.

It's designed to prepare students for a degree at University, a career in the sports industry, a heightened potential to become a professional athlete and many more opportunities.

The College has specialised in developing cricketing talent in the past few years, offering eight hours of cricket training within the state-of-the-art cricket facilities at the The Ageas Bowl, with specialised matches also arranged to fulfil cricketing potential within students.

All of this occurs alongside fourteen hours of in-class education per week, ensuring that students also receive a competent education to help them grow academically.

This academic year has seen eleven out of twelve students gain University places for the academic year ahead, whilst current first year student Fletcha Middleton and second year student Ollie Southon both hold places within the Hampshire Academy alongside their studies.

Hampshire Cricket College allows young cricketers to combine both their education and cricket in one of the best facilities in the country, and the opportunities they have during the time with us and the doors that can be opened after college are incredible. We’re looking forward to welcoming all prospective students at our Open Evening later this month.
