Hampshire Pair to Take Part in Winter Coaching Courses

Chris Wood and Lewis McManus will be attending to pass on their knowledge and expertise

Two Hampshire cricketers will be taking part in selected cricket coaching courses being held over the winter at the The Ageas Bowl, the first of which are this October half-term.

Fast-bowler Chris Wood and wicketkeeper-batsman Lewis McManus will be attending to pass on their knowledge and expertise to the youngsters, with all courses conducted by Hampshire coaches. The courses, which vary in skill level and age range with something to suit everybody, start from £19.99 a session.

Left-arm seamer Wood, who finished this season Hampshire’s joint-leading wicket-taker in the NatWest T20 Blast, will be coaching on the Elite Batting, Spin & Pace Masterclass and the Elite Fast Bowling Master Class.

20-year old McManus, who impressed with both the bat and behind the stumps in his two first-team appearances for Hampshire this season, will be in attendance for the Zooters Wicket-Keeping Master Class and Two Day Technical Course, taking place in October half-term.

These courses are a fantastic way for cricketers of all levels and abilities to focus on specific skills or work on their all-round game. We are delighted to have the services of Chris and Lewis for some of the courses and are absolutely certain their experience will mean they can offer an unrivalled insight into how to play the game.

Former Hampshire man Darren Flint, who has played a huge part in the development and rise of leg-spinner Mason Crane, will be leading the coaching for the always popular Spin Bowling Master Class.
