The latest on Hampshire's first team players recovering from injury

Michael Carberry

Michael Carberry sustained a hamstring injury whilst fielding in Hampshire's NatWest T20 Blast fixture against Gloucestershire last month. The batsman's status is currently monitored and his availability will be reviewed ahead of each match.

Rilee Rossouw

Rilee Rossouw suffered a low grade hamstring injury whilst batting in Hampshire's NatWest T20 Blast fixture against Essex Eagles last Friday.

After suffering discomfort on his right-hand following the pre-match warm ups, subsequent scans also revealed that the left-hander sustained a fracture to the index finger of his right-hand. Further updates on any potential return date will be provided in due course.

Brad Taylor

Brad Taylor sustained a lateral ligament sprain to his right ankle during a practice session at the The Ageas Bowl last week. Further updates on the injury will be provided in due course.

Ryan Stevenson

Ryan Stevenson is currently suffering from discomfort in his lower back, connected to a stress reaction suffered to the area last season. A decision on the course of treatment will be made in the coming weeks.

Reece Topley

After undergoing scans earlier this week, it was determined that seamer Reece Topley has sustained a recurrence of a stress fracture to his back.

Reece will undergo further tests and consultation over the coming weeks which will help determine the estimated recovery time for the injury.
