2022 has seen a jam-packed summer of cricket so far with two England Vitality IT20s against India and South Africa, whilst there's been plenty of exciting domestic cricket all season-long with Hampshire Hawks and Southern Vipers winning their respective T20 trophies and the Southern Brave hosting four home group matches before The Hundred Eliminator landed in September.

In 2023, The Ageas Bowl will stage England Women in an Ashes ODI against Australia on Sunday 16th July, before England Men take on New Zealand in an ODI of their own on Sunday 10th September.

Choi Kwang Do martial arts classes are also held at the Ageas Bowl, whilst 2016 saw the Hampshire Cricket College welcome its first students.

With the ticket ballot for 2023's England ODIs closing on Tuesday 18th October we're looking back at previous memorable internationals hosted at The Ageas Bowl

To mark the upcoming closure of the ticket ballot for 2023's ODIs at The Ageas Bowl - the free-to-enter ballot closes at 11:59pm on Tuesday 18th October - we're looking back at some of the most notable international match to have taken place at The Ageas Bowl over the years.

Next is from the summer of 2020, when The Ageas Bowl hosted Ireland during the behind-closed-doors international fixtures.

Batting first, Ireland got off to a shaky start losing six wickets for less than 100 runs.

David Willey dismissed both openers, with Hampshire's James Vince chipping in with a rare wicket, his first in International Cricket.

Adil Rashid finished with figures of 3/34 from his ten overs. Saqib Mahmood and Willey both took two wickets apiece.

Chasing 213 to win, Johnny Bairstow top scored with a quickfire 82 from 41 balls at a strike rate of 200.

England found themselves six wickets down with 137 on the board, but Sam Billings (46*) and David Willey (47*) took England home, securing victory by four wickets.
