The Ageas Bowl, the home of Hampshire Cricket and Hilton Southampton – The Ageas Bowl are recruiting for a full-time Content Producer. The role is a terrific opportunity for a recent graduate to join the iconic sports and leisure destination and capture, edit and curate content.

The successful candidate will join the venue’s Commercial Team and work across all of the The Ageas Bowl’s business units, including: Hampshire Cricket, Hilton Southampton – The Ageas Bowl, BEEFY’S Restaurant, eforea spa, Boundary Lakes Golf Course, Southern Vipers and Hampshire Cricket in the Community.

Job Purpose

To capture, edit and curate content to support the venue’s marketing, PR and communications plan, sponsorship objectives and achievement of overarching business targets.

The role would see content produced for all of the venue’s business units, including, but not limited to, Hampshire Cricket, Hilton Southampton – The Ageas Bowl, BEEFY’S Bar & Restaurant, eforea spa, Boundary Lakes Golf Course, Southern Vipers and Hampshire Cricket in the Community.

Content production will be predominately video but will chart all appropriate forms of content (i.e. written, infographics, gifs) and all relevant channels (i.e. social media, in-venue screens, website).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in devising and executing the venue’s content strategy and plan while offering a proactive approach to find new opportunities to capture content
• Capture, edit and output video content to support the achievement of the venue’s marketing and communications plan and business objectives
• Create written content to support the achievement of the venue’s marketing and communications plan and business objectives
• Create other forms of content (i.e. infographics, gifs, social media output) and edit pre-existing content to support the achievement of the venue’s marketing and communications plan and business objectives
• Ensure content is optimised across a number of platforms and devices – i.e. social media, website, big screen
• Manage and curate the venue’s database/archive of content, compartmentalised by department/product
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all created content across venue digital touchpoints – i.e. ageasbowl.com, hilton.com
• Ensure content aligns with the brand identities and key messaging of the product/business unit to which it relates
• Work closely with the Graphic Designer to facilitate the creation of compelling graphics to complement any content outputted
• Work closely with the Sponsorship & Partnership team to create content which supports sponsor/partner acquisition and retention
• Work closely with the press and communications function to ensure all content is appropriately circulated and content is created to support PR plans
• Liaise with external stakeholders – e.g. Sky, ECB, Hilton – to gather content
• Provide copywriting, social media management, website management and match coverage support where appropriate
• Any other duties as required. The nature of which will be defined and dictated by the changing requirements of the business.

Skills & Competencies

Exceptional video shooting, production & editing skills - experience of working with Final Cut or Adobe Premiere Pro
Exceptional copywriting skills
Excellent photography skills highly desirable
Excellent understanding and knowledge of social media
Excellent administrative skills
Superb attention to detail
High levels of organisation and efficiency
Excellent communication skills, both on the phone and face-to-face
Product knowledge - an understanding of sport, leisure and hospitality industries
