Thursday 28th April - Sunday 1st May 2022 (11am Start)
The Ageas Bowl

After back-to-back away fixtures, Hampshire return to The Ageas Bowl on Thursday as they host Lancashire in the LV= Insurance County Championship.

It’s the first meeting between the two sides since last September’s nail-biter at Liverpool where Hampshire were one wicket away from beating Lancashire and securing a first County Championship title since 1973.

James Vince’s side come into this one in good form, having defeated Kent by an innings and 51 runs at The Spitfire Ground last week.

Last years runners-up, Lancashire, have started the season in great from with an away win against Kent, before recording an innings victory over Gloucestershire last week – where Josh Bohannon hit a double century.

Hampshire Squad

Hampshire have named a 12-man squad for this week’s match.

Liam Dawson’s recorded his highest First-Class total of 171 against Kent, while Ben Brown’s 157 was his first century in a Hampshire shirt, as the duo set a Club record for the highest fifth wicket partnership of 273.

Skipper James Vince also hit his first ton of the season with a classy 111.

The bowling attack also seemed to be in full working order as a Keith Barker six-for in the first innings was followed up by Kyle Abbott taking five in the second innings to close out the game.

Mason Crane is unavailable after moving to Sussex on a short-term loan.
