Match Preview: Somerset v Hampshire, LV= CC

Hampshire return to red-ball action this week as they head to Taunton for a crucial LV= Insurance County Championship tie against Somerset.

Although rain narrowly thwarted their attempts to secure an unlikely victory last time out against Leicestershire, James Vince’s side take on Tom Abell’s squad with an opportunity to overtake their opponents and regain a top two position in Group Two with victory.

Hampshire Squad:

A 13-man squad has been announced for this week’s fixture.

Mason Crane, Felix Organ and Cameron Steel join 10 of the final XI that secured a dominant draw against Leicestershire in the travelling party.

Mohammad Abbas is the only absentee from last week’s squad with the seamer having now returned to Pakistan following the conclusion of his initial overseas stint with the Club.
