Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket, Southern Vipers and Southern Brave.

In 2023, Utilita Bowl hosted England Women in a sold-out Ashes ODI against Australia on Sunday 16th July, before England Men take on New Zealand in an ODI of their own on Sunday 10th September.

Domestic action saw Southern Vipers successfully defend their T20 title and Hampshire Hawks reach a record-breaking tenth T20 Finals Day, with plenty of other cricket to be played in other competitions.

The Hundred also returned for a third edition, which saw record attendances across each matchday for the Women's fixture.

Michael Carberry To Join Leicestershire On Loan

The left-hander will be available to feature in Leicestershire's next four-day fixture, beginning on Monday

Hampshire Cricket has agreed for batsman Michael Carberry to join Leicestershire on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2017 season.

The 35-year-old will be available for Leicestershire’s Specsavers County Championship fixture against Kent beginning on Monday (28^th August), before returning to Hampshire to be available to play for James Vince’s side at NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day.

Following next Saturday’s T20 finale at Edgbaston, Carberry will then return to Leicestershire where he will be available to feature in their three remaining four-day fixtures of the season.

Michael is obviously keen to play regular red ball cricket and will have this opportunity at Leicester. We wish him well and look forward to welcoming him back for Finals Day.

The top-order batsman has amassed a total of more than 16,849 runs in 369 matches for Hampshire across all formats, with more than 10,000 of these coming in first-class cricket at an average of 42.64.

Carberry has also been a key component in Hampshire’s limited-overs success over the years, contributing 3,519 List A runs at an average of 38.67 and 3,053 T20 runs at an average of 31.47.
