On This Day: Morgan’s ODI Century

Twelve years ago today, Eoin Morgan’s phenomenal innings led England to an ODI victory over Pakistan.

In 2010, The Ageas Bowl played host to a series-deciding ODI fixture between England and Pakistan, with Eoin Morgan starring with the bat.

Andrew Strauss won the toss and chose to bat first – only for to England find themselves in trouble at 106/4 when Morgan came to the crease.

Morgan and Paul Collingwood combined for a 93-run partnership, with the latter contributing 47.

Morgan was at his destructive best, hitting eight fours and a six to make 107* from just 101 balls as England scored 256 from their 50 overs.

In reply, Pakistan only managed 135, with Morgan getting a run out to his name in a man-of-the-match performance.
