Southern Vipers Announce 2023-24 Academy & EPP Cohorts

Southern Vipers are pleased to announce a 12-strong Academy squad for the winter of 2023-24 plus players from the four EPP centres

Southern Vipers have announced their 2023-24 Academy cohort, with two players being awarded places from the Vipers Emerging Players’ Programme (EPP).

Talitha Stanley and Poppy Tulloch join the Academy for the first time, whilst wicket keeper Pippa Sproul was added during the summer, with three players – Mary Taylor (joining the senior Vipers squad), Gemma Porter, and Poppy-Jay Watkins – leaving the Academy.

Hampshire all-rounder Stanley played eight times for her county in 2023, scoring 49 runs and taking six wickets.

Berkshire’s Poppy Tulloch claimed six wickets with a best of 3-4 in the South Central Counties Cup out of her eight overall wickets for her county, and scored 136 opening the batting against Oxfordshire in a 50-over friendly.

Talitha and Poppy join a highly talented and motivated group of Academy players. Both have shown a great desire to progress their game, and we are delighted to welcome them onto our Academy programme. Both girls have shown the qualities that are true to the Vipers values and everyone is excited to start working with them.
