The Ageas Bowl To Support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

The Ageas Bowl’s coffee morning will be hosted during England’s Royal London ODI against West Indies at the venue later this month

The Ageas Bowl is delighted to confirm the venue will be supporting Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning during England’s Royal London ODI against the West Indies on Friday 29th September.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which encourages people all over the UK to host their own coffee mornings, is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer with more than £29.5 million raised from last year’s campaign.

The Ageas Bowl’s coffee morning will be hosted in the venue’s Arlott Atrium, beginning from gates opening at 10:30am and running until the start of the potentially series-deciding 50-over fixture at 12:30pm, with a wide range of tea, coffee and cake available to purchase and enjoy.

Popular tea brand, Yorkshire Tea, are kindly suppling tea for the event whilst there will be a number of opportunities for those attending the fixture to donate to Macmillan’s great cause and complement the The Ageas Bowl’s donation from the coffee morning itself.

The work that Macmillan do both locally and across the country is truly phenomenal, and we are delighted to be able to show our support by being a part of their fantastic World’s Biggest Coffee Morning initiative, helping to raise funds for such a great cause.

Jonathan Crocker, Chief Commerical Officer

The coffee morning will be open to all ODI ticket buyers on Friday 29th September and those attending are encouraged to come in early and support Macmillan’s terrific cause.

We’re thrilled the The Ageas Bowl will be supporting our World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at their England v West Indies ODI. The money raised will go towards helping Macmillan support people affected by cancer at the time they need us most.

Ryan Howarth, Macmillan South West Hampshire Fundraising Manager

All of the day’s off-field activities, including the coffee morning and free kids cricket coaching, will supplement the guaranteed on-field thrills with West Indian superstars, Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels, returning for the visiting side to take on Eoin Morgan’s men for this series.
