The Lashes 2018 raises over £20,000 for charity

Over £20,000 raised for the The Ageas Bowl's charity, Hampshire Cricket in the Community.

Last Wednesday 9th May, 240 ladies arrived at the The Ageas Bowl's Arlott Atrium for the third annual Lashes Ladies Charity Lunch and Fashion Show.

Guests enjoyed a Prosecco and Pinkster Gin drinks reception whilst browsing a selection of pop-up shops which included the The Ageas Bowl's very own eforea spa and Boundary Lakes Golf Course, as well as local stores Bradbeers, Pomp & Petals and Scarpini among others.

This was followed by a stylish lunch, a hair styling masterclass by international celebrity hairdresser Guy Kremer, and the famous Lashes Fashion Show, which once again featured several of the Hampshire cricketers in their catwalk debut.

Premier League TV presenter Michael Kurn returned as the event host, whilst this year's special guest was Jason Burrill, actor, business man and winner of Big Brother 2016.

The event was all in aid of the The Ageas Bowl's own charity, Hampshire Cricket in the Community, and following several fundraising games, a raffle, silent auction and grand live auction, on top of ticket prices, altogether proceeds from the day came to a staggering £20,000.

This money will go directly to the charity and will be used to help improve the physical, mental and social wellbeing of people in the local community, with a specific focus on reducing childhood obesity.

This year’s Lashes Lunch was the biggest and best yet and the money raised will allow us to make genuine positive impact in helping people in our community live healthier and happier lives.
