The Ageas Bowl, the iconic home of Hampshire Cricket located on the outskirts of Southampton, is looking to recruit a key asset to its Banqueting Department.

The world-class venue, defined by its contemporary architecture, is set in 150 acres of landscaped grounds and is serviced by excellent transport links. A truly exceptional multi-purpose venue, it is capable of hosting events spanning from large regional exhibitions to intimate corporate breakfast meetings and almost any bespoke event in between, from exhibitions to intimate corporate breakfast meetings and almost any bespoke event in between.


Job Description

The Conference and Banqueting Manager will work with the Banqueting Team at the The Ageas Bowl to manage our busy Banqueting Department. This role is very hands on and will require someone who has exceptional planning skills, great negotiating skills to work with multiple departments, excellent leadership qualities to take the team with them and the business acumen to ensure that the job gets done.

Specifically the Conference and Events Manager will supervise all aspects of the Hotel Conference & Banqueting Operations, working with the Event team to deliver beyond the customer expectations and liaising with the Stadium team to improve productivity across the venue and create a working environment that supports organisational and brand values to deliver outstanding customer service


Job Purpose


Skills and competencies

  1. Previous experience managing a large team is essential
  2. Previous experience at a busy Banqueting Department is essential
  3. Experience managing events at a multi-faceted venue is an advantage
