In 2023, Utilita Bowl hosted England Women in a sold-out Ashes ODI against Australia on Sunday 16th July, before England Men take on New Zealand in an ODI of their own on Sunday 10th September.

Domestic action saw Southern Vipers successfully defend their T20 title and Hampshire Hawks reach a record-breaking tenth T20 Finals Day, with plenty of other cricket to be played in other competitions.

The Hundred also returned for a third edition, which saw record attendances across each matchday for the Women's fixture.

An experienced and stylish right-hand top-order batsman from India, Ajinkya Rahane joins Hampshire as overseas player for eight Specsavers County Championship matches for the 2019 season, becoming the first Indian overseas player to represent Hampshire.

The 30-year-old is India’s vice-captain and has a wealth of international experience having made 56 Test and 90 ODI appearances since making his debut against Australia in March 2013.

Rahane has totalled more than 3,400 runs at an average of 40.55 in his Test career so far with nine centuries and 17 fifties to his name, whilst also boasting an average of over 50 with the bat in 125 first-class matches, including a staggering 29 hundreds.
