Alice Zoe Monaghan was born in Basingstoke, Hampshire on 20th March 2000 and is a right handed batter and right arm medium-fast bowler.

Monaghan made her debut for Hampshire in 2016 against Somerset, and scored her career-best of 43* in her first ever Women’s County Championship Match against Leicestershire in August 2016.

She was part of the Hampshire team that bagged consecutive Championship titles, winning Division Two in 2017 before claiming the top spot in Division One in 2018.

Monaghan previously played for Yorkshire Diamonds in 2018 and Loughborough Lightning in 2019 before returning to the south coast with the Southern Vipers in 2020 with the new regional hub domestic system.

In 2021, Monaghan played three Charlotte Edwards Cup matches and four Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy matches for the Vipers.

On 28th August 2021, Monaghan blitzed a 17-ball 30* as the Vipers narrowly missed out on beating the eventual Charlotte Edwards Cup champions, South East Stars, at The Ageas Bowl.

The all-rounder also featured in six matches for London Spirit in the Hundred, and had a memorable graduation ceremony on the Lord’s pavilion balcony.

She was retained by London Spirit for the 2022 Hundred season.

In 2022, Alice turned out four times for the Vipers while playing all six games for the London Spirit in The Hundred.

In April 2023, Monaghan was awarded her first professional contract.
