Danni Wyatt
Danni Wyatt was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire on 22nd April 1991.
She began her career at her native Staffordshire in 2005, before moving to Sussex in 2016 and joining the Vipers in 2017.
Since then, she has gained notoriety as one of the most destructive opening batters in women's cricket, with two T20I centuries to her name - the most for any England player, male or female.
She has won over 200 caps for her country and has scored more than 3,000 international runs and has taken 73 T20I and ODI wickets with her off spin.
In 2010, she was awarded an MCC Young Cricketers contract and in April 2014, she was included in the first tranche of 18 ECB central contracts for women's players.
Wyatt is one of the most experienced players for Southern Vipers, having played in 41 matches since her club debut in August 2017, and has scored 1,361 runs for the team, with one century and 10 fifties.
In 2019, Wyatt saw herself at the top of the run scoring table out of the whole of the KIA Super League, as she scored a staggering 466 runs in 11 matches, whilst striking at over 166, with one century and four fifties.
Since the regional hub system was introduced, Wyatt has scored 361 runs in RHF Trophy matches at an astonishing average of 72.20, and has scored bang on 1,000 T20 runs for the Vipers at an average of 32.25 with a best of 110.
Wyatt featured twice for the Vipers in COVID-stricken 2020, where she scored 119 runs in the inaugural Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy at an average of 59.50, before going off on England duty.
In 2021, Wyatt scored over 250 runs in six appearances for the Vipers, with an average of 68.66 in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy as she finished as the team’s third leading run scorer, despite having played half the matches.
She was also picked up by Southern Brave in The Hundred, where she scored over 208 runs, and took a wicket in its first year, and followed it up with 177 runs and two wickets in 2022.
Wyatt topped the averages for the Vipers in the 2022 Charlotte Edwards Cup, as the team brought home the trophy named after their own head coach.
She scored 50 more runs than second placed Maia Bouchier, and had a strike rate of 152.
England duty beckoned after just one match of the 2022 RHF Trophy, in which she scored 36* at a strike rate of 150 in a rain-affected chase against Central Sparks.
