Born in Derbyshire, daughter of former Sussex and England batter Chris Adams, Georgia Adams has pathed her way to the top of the women's game and is one of the most prolific run scorers in the country.
Captain and opening the batting, Adams is a fluent and, when needed, a brutal ball striker, who can also contribute handy off-spin.
Adams made her debut for the Vipers in 2016 before a brief stint at the Loughborough Lightning.
2020 was a real breakthrough year for the Vipers, top scoring in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy with 500 runs.
The Sussex batter led the Vipers to back to back Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy victories in 2020 and 2021 and is thought of as one of the most talented players in the country not to have international recognition.
She recorded her career-best score of a whopping 154 off 155 balls against Western Storm in the 2020 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, as the Vipers racked up 288-1, winning the match by 32 runs.
Her best List A bowling figures came a year later, as she took 4-35 in the final of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, with best T20 figures to follow in the 2022 Women’s County Championship – 4-16 for Sussex against Hampshire.
In May 2022, Adams was named as the new Captain of the Lord's Taverners XI.
As of the end of the 2022 season, Adams has 11 scores of 50 or more for the Vipers, with one century - a career best 154 against Western Storm.
She has also taken 41 wickets in 50-over cricket, and 27 wickets in T20s.
Adams first started getting serious about bowling when Vipers Head Coach Charlotte Edwards put her down in one of the pre-season bowling lanes.
