Linsey Smith

Linsey Claire Neale Smith was born in Hillingdon on 10th March 1995 and is a left-arm spin bowler and left-handed batter.

Smith first played for Southern Vipers in 2016, debuting against Lancashire Thunder in the inaugural season of the KIA Super League.

She took eight wickets in her first season with the team, and was part of the side that won the inaugural KSL competition, as Southern Vipers defeated Western Storm by seven wickets at Chelmsford.

Smith continued with the Vipers for 2017, where she took eight wickets, before she moved to Loughborough Lightning after enrolling at Loughborough University, and in 2018, she made her IT20 debut in England's opening match of the 2018 Women's World T20 in the West Indies, against Bangladesh.

She has since placed nine IT20s for her country, with best figures of 3-18 against Sri Lanka in 2019.

With the advent of the regoinal hub system and the Northern Diamonds, Smith played in all three Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy finals.

She has taken 47 wickets across the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Charlotte Edwards Cup, including figures of 2-24 as Northern Diamonds won the RHF Trophy for the first time in September 2022.

In January 2023, Smith was signed up to Otago Sparks for their remaining three Super Smash matches.
