Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket, Southern Vipers and Southern Brave.

In 2023, Utilita Bowl hosted England Women in a sold-out Ashes ODI against Australia on Sunday 16th July, before England Men take on New Zealand in an ODI of their own on Sunday 10th September.

Domestic action saw Southern Vipers successfully defend their T20 title and Hampshire Hawks reach a record-breaking tenth T20 Finals Day, with plenty of other cricket to be played in other competitions.

The Hundred also returned for a third edition, which saw record attendances across each matchday for the Women's fixture.

In Memoriam: Bethan Watkinson

It is with great sadness that we have to report that one of our Vipers Champions, Bethan Watkinson, died last Sunday after a battle with cancer.

1 November 2021

Bethan was a huge part of the W&G family in Hampshire, having played for Portsmouth CC since she was an U9 and coming up through the RPC and County pathway.

Bethan, a talented bowler and useful bat, was an integral part of the County U11 squad for 2 years and had just been selected for the County U13’s when she fell ill. A part of the Vipers Champions Programme, Bethan produced a fantastic batting video for the RPC girls to keep them busy during lockdown – this was also sent to Rwanda for the Indatwa girls to use.

Much loved by us all, Bethan will always be remembered and her time with us treasured. Our thoughts and prayers go to her family.
