The Indoor School

The Indoor School is a large training facility located on the first floor of the Rod Bransgrove Pavilion at the Ageas Bowl. It is primarily used as a six-lane cricket facility by clubs, schools, county squads and the Hampshire Academy, with each net offering a slightly different bounce and degree of bounce to test batters and bowlers alike.

It is also used to host a number of indoor competitions including the NatWest U16 Indoor League and Southampton Evening Indoor League and has even hosted corporate functions, such as trade exhibitions.

Thanks to a programme of refurbishments, including a new netting system and lights, the facility is now among the best in the business in regards to cricket-specific environments.

It is available for hire by the general public and has been used in the past for a variety of sporting activities ranging from pilates classes, to football competitions and even archery.

It also benefits from having a viewing balcony for spectators to watch the action.

The Indoor School and the nets within it can only be booked in advance and are priced per hour.
