Disability Cricket

Irwin Mitchell is the headline sponsor for Hampshire Cricket Board's trailblazing disability programme reaching over 1300 participants  with all impairments (including autism, learning and/or physical disabilities, hearing and visual impairments) each year.

Our Super 1s programme gives young people aged 12-25 with disabilities the chance to play cricket regularly, delivered with the support of our partner Lord's Taverners.

Key features include:

  • Coaching and tournaments in special schools and SEND units within mainstream schools
  • Six week free introduction to cricket for disability groups in day centres, multi sport clubs and adult services groups
  • Five Super 1s hubs in Basingstoke, New Forest, Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester
  • All year round training programme
  • Hardball, Softball and Visually Impaired county teams

Many Hampshire players have progressed via our programme to full international level with the England Physical Disability squad.

Are you, someone you know, or your disability group interested in playing cricket?
