Arctic Monkeys - Travel Information

Parking is only permitted in official car parking locations - there is no parking available in local residential roads - please plan your travel and book parking in advance.

Below you can find the information you'll need regarding travel and parking for The Arctic Monkeys concert on the 14th of June 2023.

Please plan your journey in advance of your trip to Utilita Bowl to make your journey as smooth and seamless as possible.

Please be aware, local roads will be very busy, onsite car parking is SOLD OUT and there is no parking provision in local residential areas. Park & Ride is our recommended parking option for anyone driving to the event.

A road closure will be in place on Botley Road between Moorgreen Road and Tollbar Way. Please avoid West End High Street if travelling by motor vehicle. 


Park & Ride - Very Limited

Park & Ride - £20 per vehicle in advance / £25 on the day (subject to availability)

Park your car in the secure car park at Wide Lane, opposite Southampton Airport Parkway train station and travel to Utilita Bowl on a shuttle bus service. Park & Ride opens at 15:00pm.

We expect Park & Ride to become SOLD OUT on the day of the event. As an alternative, attendees can park at Southampton Airport Parkway Train Station's multi-storey car park and use the rail shuttle to the ground.

Drop Off & Pick Up Area

A Drop Off & Pick Up Area is available at the Car Park of Marks & Spencer, Hedge End. Please follow directional signage and the instructions of any stewards. The Drop Off area is a 15-20 minute walk from the venue.

Please note: vehicles can not be left in this Car Park.

Accessible/ Blue Badge Parking - SOLD OUT

Please note, you will need to provide a valid blue badge to park. Failure to provide a valid pass will result in your vehicle being turned away from the car park.

Accessible Pick-Up

For accessible pick up after the concert an accessible car park advance booking is required. Please be on site and in the car park before 21:30 as there will be no access to the site for accessible pick up between 21:30 and 23:15.

Rail Travel

Please plan your travel accordingly. Due to train engineering works, there will be delays and a reduced service on the South West train line.

Rail Shuttles

Bush Shuttle - £10 return in advance

Bus shuttles will operate between Southampton Airport Parkway and Utilita Bowl between 15:30 and 00:30 (approximately).

Please find below the return trains available on the 14th of June from Southampton Airport Parkway. Due to the large scale concert, we recommend pre-booking your ticket to ensure your place on the trains.

Rail & Walk from Hedge End Train Station

Hedge End Train Station is approximately 25-30 minutes walk from the venue. Engineering works are being carried out on this line and a reduced service is running. There will be no bus service from Hedge End Train Station to the venue.

Alternative Parking

Alternative Car Parking options are available in the local area through the Arctic Monkeys Official Car Park Partner. 

Should our official car parks be sold out, you can park at Southampton Airport Parkway Train Station or Southampton Airport and use our Rail Shuttle service to access the venue.

Park & Walk - SOLD OUT

Park & Walk is SOLD OUT. This walk will take you approximately 10 minutes. Please note, your car will be parked on a grass surface and your walk will be on a tarmac path which contains hills and will not be suitable for those with mobility requirements. 

The vehicle entrance for park & walk is from the A27 Moorhill Road, please follow signage for “Park & Walk” on local roads.

The closest bus stops to Utilita Bowl are Dawson Lodge for buses travelling towards Southampton City Centre, and Moorgreen Hospital for buses travelling towards Hedge End Train Station.


Hilton at Utilita Bowl 

For those staying overnight at the Hilton at Utilita Bowl, please be aware that there will be parking attendants present to check your name prior to entry to the car park. You will be limited to one car per room.

Check out - 11am

Early arrival and check in to the hotel is not guaranteed. The rooms booked are for the booked occupancy only for overnight and you are allowed an additional 2 guests only per room, due to security and capacity policies. Names will need to be provided in advance to enable guests into the bedrooms.

BEEFY'S Restaurant by Lord Botham

BEEFY'S will be open for guests between 12pm - 6:30pm, however pre-booking is essential and walk ins will not be accepted. A reduced menu will also be offered on this date. 

After the concert begins, BEEFY'S will be open for residents only. For all bookings, please email beefys@hiltonageasbowl.com or call 02382 027097

There is no entry to the stadium from BEEFY’S restaurant, ticket holders will need to use the stadium gates.
