Metro Bank One Day Cup - Travel Information

In 2023, Hampshire host four Metro Bank One Day Cup (50-over) group-stage matches in August, three fixtures at The Ageas Bowl and one fixture at Newclose Cricket Ground, Isle of Wight on Tuesday 22nd August.

Metro Bank One Day Cup Final

Hampshire have earned their place in the Metro Bank One Day Cup Final, to be played against Leicestershire Foxes at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Saturday 16th September.

The Club are organising a bus to transport fans up to Trent Bridge on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note, this bus is now sold out.

Newclose, Isle of Wight

Travelling to Newclose Cricket Ground, Isle of Wight for Hampshire v Kent Spitfires on Tuesday 22nd August?

Travel by car

Those travelling by car from the mainland will need to book ferry travel for their vehicle. Please see 'Travel by ferry' section above for more information.

On-site car parking is sold out.

Supporters are directed to park in one of the pay & display car parks in Newport. The ground is a 25-minute walk or short bus ride from there.

Season-long car parking pass holders, disabled guests and hospitality guests will be parked on site. Season-long car parking passes will be valid to park at Newclose on a first come, first served basis.

All on-site car parking will be located on grass, so please be aware that surfaces may be wet or muddy if there is adverse weather ahead of the matchday.

Members park & ride

The Members park & ride service which includes all transport (incl. shuttle and ferry) from The Ageas Bowl to Newclose Cricket Ground, plus return journey to The Ageas Bowl after the fixture is sold out.

Members who have pre-booked this park & ride service will need to arrive at The Ageas Bowl by 7.15am on Tuesday 22nd August ahead of buses leaving shortly after.

Car Parking

Seasonal car parking pass holders disabled guests and hospitality guests will be parked on-site for Hampshire's Metro Bank One Day Cup group stages matches.

  • Executive Club car parking is located in Car Park 1 (opposite the West Gate).
  • Members & general car parking is located in Car Park 2 (main car park).
  • Accessible parking is located in Car Park 6 (opposite East Gate).

Car Parking: £10 per car

Attendees travelling to The Ageas Bowl by car are able to purchase on-site car parking in advance online for £10 per car via the link below.

On-site car parks will open 30 minutes before the scheduled gates opening time of the fixture.

For those who have secured on-site parking, please be aware the parking surface may be grass and car parking may be located a short walk away from the gate.

For accessible parking, please arrive with a valid Blue Badge to display to stewards at The Ageas Bowl, who will then direct you to park in relevant accessible areas.

Motorbikes and Bicycles

The Ageas Bowl provides a FREE motorbike and bicycle storage facility.

Please head towards the roundabout and follow directions from our traffic operatives. Please be aware motorbikes will be parked near the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre, located opposite the East Gate.

All parking is subject to availability and on a first come first served basis.

The closest bus stops to The Ageas Bowl are Dawson Lodge for buses travelling towards Southampton City Centre, and Moorgreen Hospital for buses travelling towards Hedge End Train Station.


Rail

The closest railway stations located to The Ageas Bowl are Hedge End and Southampton Airport Parkway Railway Stations.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Area

All private vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups can be done at the Holiday Inn Express Car Park.
