Southern Brave | The Hundred - Travel Information

The Ageas Bowl hosts four Southern Brave matchdays in 2021 - where both men's & women's teams play on the same day - and here you can find the information you'll need regarding travel and parking.

Please plan your journey carefully to avoid delays.

Traffic Update:

Please note, on Wednesday 11th August (Southern Brave v Welsh Fire) there will be roadworks taking place on M27 eastbound carriageway between junctions 4-7 from 9pm until 6am the following morning, whilst there will be road closures on M27 junction 4 eastbound to junction 5, M27 junction 5 eastbound entry slip road, M27 junction 7 westbound to junction 4, and M27 junction 10 eastbound entry slip road.


Car Parking

Car Parking Update:

Please note that Car Parking is sold out for Southern Brave v Birmingham Phoenix on Friday 30th July.

Park & Walk - Limited spaces available

Per Car: £10

Pre-booked parking is available to purchase for each Southern Brave fixture in the Park & Walk facility, located just a short walk from the venue entrances for £10 per car.

Please note that parking is likely to become full, so we encourage you to book early.

If you have pre-booked car parking, drive to: The Ageas Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Hampshire, SO30 3XH.

Once you arrive at The Ageas Bowl, please have your parking ticket ready to show traffic marshalls and you will be directed to one of the venue's car parks, which can be seen on the venue map.

Car Parks will close 90 minutes after the match, cars are not permitted to stay overnight.


Motorbikes and Bicycles

The Ageas Bowl provides a FREE motorbike and bicycle storage facility.

Please head towards the roundabout and follow directions from our traffic operatives. Please be aware motorbikes will be parked near the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre, located opposite the East Gate.

All parking is subject to availability and on a first come first served basis.


Rail Shuttle

Adult return: £5

Group of 5: £15

Junior return (5-17 years): £3

A rail shuttle will be operating between Southampton Airport Parkway Railway Station and The Ageas Bowl for the Southern Brave's matchdays this summer, subject to COVID-19 restrictions.

To accommodate the 3pm and 3:30pm matchday starts, the following rail shuttle timings have been planned:

Matchdays 1 & 3 

(Southern Brave v Birmingham Phoenix - Fri 30th July | Southern Brave v Welsh Fire - Wed 11th August)

For the first fixture of the day, the rail shuttle service will begin from Southampton Airport Parkway at 1:15pm, running continuously for every 15 minutes until 3pm, from which time the buses will depart half-hourly from Southampton Airport Parkway and return trips will begin from The Ageas Bowl.

For the second fixture of the matchday, the rail shuttle service will resume running continuously for every 15 minutes from 4:45pm thereafter until 7:00pm, after which the last buses will depart from The Ageas Bowl 30 minutes after the end of play.

Matchdays 2 & 4

(Southern Brave v Northern Superchargers - Sat 7th August | Southern Brave v Oval Invincibles - Mon 16th Aug)

The rail shuttle service will begin from Southampton Airport Parkway at 1:30pm, running continuously for every 15 minutes until 3:30pm, from which time the buses will depart half-hourly from Southampton Airport Parkway and return trips will begin from The Ageas Bowl.

For the second fixture of the matchday, the rail shuttle service will resume running continuously for every 15 minutes from 4:45pm thereafter until 7:00pm, after which the last buses will depart from The Ageas Bowl 30 minutes after the end of play.

The closest bus stops to The Ageas Bowl are Dawson Lodge for buses travelling towards Southampton City Centre, and Moorgreen Hospital for buses travelling towards Hedge End Train Station.


Rail

The closest railway stations located to The Ageas Bowl are Hedge End and Southampton Airport Parkway Railway Stations.

Find a train to either of these two locations for easiest access to the ground via the link below:

If coming from Hedge End Station, look out for the No. 8 First Bus Service to bring you to the stadium, alternatively you can get a taxi from the station.

If you are coming from Southampton Airport Parkway Station, you can pre-book a ticket for the rail shuttle as explained above, or look out for the Xelabus X4 (more details listed above).


Taxis

A Taxi Rank will operate from The Ageas Bowl taxi pick up point, in Car Park 1, located opposite the West Gate.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Area

All private vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups will be directed from traffic stewards towards the Holiday Inn & David Lloyd Car Parks.
