Vitality Blast - Travel Information

The Ageas Bowl hosts seven Vitality Blast matches in 2018 and, here you can find all the information you'll need regarding travel and parking!

Car Parking


Seasonal parking pass holders, disabled guests and hospitality guests will be parked onsite subject to availability. 

All parking is on a first come first served basis. Once onsite car parks are full you may be directed to use our Park and Walk facility.

Park and Walk

All spectators wishing to book a parking space in advance can be purchased here. A pay on the day parking facility will also be available.

The parking location is on Botley Road, approximately 400 meters from the ground. 

Parking is charged at £10.00.

Please be aware the parking surface is grass and the car park is parked from the front.

Please allow plenty of time for your journey as the local roads will be very busy.

Drop Off/Pick Up Area 

There will be a drop off and pick up area outside the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl.

Please take the first exit off the mini roundabout as you approach entrance and follow direction form our traffic operatives. 

*Please be aware the drop off and pick up area on the Somerset T20 (8th August) may be located elsewhere.. Please follow direction from our traffic operatives.

Public Bus

First Bus No. 8

Southampton City Centre – Bitterne – West End – AGEAS BOWL – Hedge End Train Station  

First Bus No.8 service connects the Ageas Bowl with Southampton City Centre. A later bus service will run on all floodlit T20 games, picking up from the Marshall Drive bus stop at approximately *9.50pm, *10.05pm and *10.20pm.

A later bus service will also be in operation towards Hedge End train station, picking up from the Marshall Drive bus stop at approximately *9.20pm, *9.35pm and *9.50pm. 

*Times will be brought forward for games that start at 6.30pm.

Xelabus X4

Eastleigh – Airport Parkway – Mansbridge – AGEAS BOWL – Hedge End Town Centre

The Xelabus X4 service links the Ageas Bowl with Southampton Airport Parkway train station, Eastleigh, West End and Hedge End.

Southampton Airport Parkway Return

This service will be free of charge! 

The service that operates between the Ageas Bowl and Southampton Airport Parkway will run after all floodlit T20s.

This enhanced service, arranged by First Bus, will pick up from the Marshall Drive bus stop and depart at the following times:

Friday 6th July, Thursday 12th July, Friday 20th July, Friday 3rd August: 9.40pm, 10.00pm, 10.25pm and 10.45pm.

Wednesday 8th August and Friday 17th August: 9.10pm, 9.30pm, 9.50pm and 10.10pm. 

On Sunday 12th August, a service will operate in both directions at the following times:

Southampton Airport Parkway > Ageas Bowl: 12.45pm, 1.05pm, 1.25pm, 1.45pm, 2.05pm and 2.25pm.

Ageas Bowl > Southampton Airport Parkway: 4.30pm, 4.50pm, 5.10pm, 5.30pm, 5.50pm and 6.10pm. 

Look out for the 'no. 14 Ageas Bowl Express'. 

Vitality Blast Bus Service

Take off to Hampshire's Vitality Blast fixtures with the multi-stop Blast Bus Service coming from Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester & Warsash.

The Blast Bus offers stress-free travel to and from the Ageas Bowl for Hampshire's home T20 fixtures.

Tickets are available to purchase for just £5 from the Ageas Bowl Ticket Office (online, over the phone or in person) and from selected partner bars, who also sell combined match & bus tickets at £23 for Adults and £9 for Under-17s.

Blast Bus ticket-holders over the age of 18 can redeem a free pint from a partner bar upon return from Hampshire's Vitality Blast match upon presentation of a valid Blast Bus ticket.




The Ageas Bowl have teamed up with South Western Railway to deliver a later service on all floodlit Vitality Blast matches, departing from Hedge End Train Station at 10:15pm. Catch the First Bus No.8 from Marshall Drive to the train station after the game.


Motorbikes are permitted to park free of charge at the Ageas Bowl. Parking is located opposite the West Gate and all parking is subject to availability.

The Ageas Bowl also provides a free bicycle storage facility. Please be aware this is now located opposite the East Gate.

Private Coaches

Private coaches can park at the Ageas Bowl for a fee of £50.00. Please pay upon arrival and follow the direction from our traffic marshals. 

Taxi Rank

A Taxi Rank will operate from outside the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl. Please follow signage and follow direction from our stewards.

If you decide to pre-book a taxi, this will be directed to our *pick up point outside the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl.
