2022’s sold out IT20 at The Ageas Bowl moved to accommodate rescheduled fifth match of the 2021 LV= Insurance Test Series between England and India
Next summer’s sold-out Vitality IT20 between England Men and India Men at The Ageas Bowl will now be played on Thursday 7th July 2022.
The date of the match, originally scheduled for Wednesday 6th July 2022, has been moved - along with the dates of all other matches in next summer's white ball series against India - to accommodate the rescheduled fifth match of the LV= Insurance Test Series between England Men and India Men.
The fifth Test match, which was due to take place last month at Emirates Old Trafford, was called off when India were unable to field a team due to fears of a further increase in the number of COVID-19 cases inside the camp.
With India leading the series 2-1, the concluding fifth match will now take place from July 1, 2022, at Edgbaston, following an agreement between the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Given the rescheduling of the fifth Test, the Vitality IT20 Series between England and India in 2022 will now start later than originally planned, with The Ageas Bowl now hosting the sold-out, series-opening fixture on Thursday 7th July.
All ticket holders will receive an email detailing the fixture’s date change and do not have to take any action as all tickets will remain valid for the revised date. Should any ticket holders no longer be able to attend due to the date change they’ll have the opportunity to claim a refund via the email they would have received outlining the date change.
The rescheduling of the fifth Test between England Men and India Men has no bearing on next summer’s sold-out Vitality IT20 between England Men and South Africa Men at The Ageas Bowl on Sunday 31st July 2022, which will take place on the original date as planned.
