James Vince Joins Sydney Sixers

The Hampshire skipper replaces Joe Denly, joining the Big Bash side for the remainder of this year's competition

Hampshire captain James Vince has signed for Australian Big Bash side, Sydney Sixers, for the remainder of this year's competition.

Vince replaces Joe Denly as an allocated overseas player, with the all-rounder departing ahead of England's Test and ODI series' against West Indies.

The right-hander has been based in Auckland as part of the Aces side competing in the New Zealand Super Smash T20 competition in recent weeks, but now heads to Sydney ahead of the Sixers' remaining fixtures.

The franchise, who claimed the inaugural BBL crown back in 2011/12, are led by Australian international Moises Henriques and also feature England seamer Tom Curran.

Vince has enjoyed two BBL stints previously, representing Sydney Thunder in six fixtures over the last two seasons.

The best way to catch James and the rest of the Hampshire squad in action all season long next season is with a 2019 Hampshire Cricket Membership.
