The Ageas Bowl To Host Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day

The home of Southern Vipers and Hampshire Cricket will host the competition’s showpiece fixtures on Sunday 5th September

The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has today announced The Ageas Bowl has been selected as the host venue for the inaugural Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day on Sunday 5th September.

The home of Southern Vipers and Hampshire Cricket will host the competition’s showpiece fixtures with Finals Day consisting of two matches – the play-off (12pm) and the final (4pm) – and the first-place team from each group in the group stage and the best second-place team securing qualification.

The best first-place team will qualify automatically for the final, whilst the other first-place team and best second-place team will play off for the remaining place in the final.

Tickets for Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day at The Ageas Bowl are now on general sale with tickets – priced at £10 for Adults & £5 for U17s - available to purchase online via the link above with discounts for families. Hampshire Cricket Members and Sussex CCC Members will be able to attend Finals Day for free with their 2021 Membership

The Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day is set to be one of the highlights of the season. We’re thrilled that this showcase event is going to be staged at The Ageas Bowl and are excited at the prospect of watching the teams perform in front of a bumper crowd.

The Charlotte Edwards Cup resumes on Wednesday 25th August with three matches remaining in the group stage. The Ageas Bowl-based Southern Vipers currently sit top of Group A with three bonus-point victories from their opening three fixtures and will be hoping to secure home advantage at next month’s Finals Day.

Situated an hour or less away from London, Brighton, Portsmouth and Reading, The Ageas Bowl is easily accessible for anyone living in the South of England. With excellent transport links from all major train stations and ferry terminals in the area, as well as a Park & Ride Scheme, it couldn’t be easier to get to and from the ground.
