Tickets

Hampshire's Royal London Cup match at Newclose is now sold out to non-members.

Hampshire Cricket and Newclose Members are still able to attend by displaying their relevant Membership Card or valid guest voucher on arrival at the ground. Members can redeem guest vouchers at the Ticket Tent located at Entrance 1 which will be open from 9:30am on Tuesday 9th August.


Travel & Parking

Please plan your journey carefully and well in advance to avoid delays to your journey on Tuesday 9th August.

Travel by ferry:

Travellers from the mainland will be required to travel to Newclose via ferry. Passenger and car ferries are available to book from Southampton*, Portsmouth and Lymington.

*Please be aware, staff at Red Funnel (from Southampton) are taking industrial action on this day and a revised timetable will be in place.

Travel by bus (on Isle of Wight):

Foot passengers can get the numbers 2 and 3 Southern Vectis buses to get to Newclose via the Newport bus station.

Travel by car:

Those travelling by car from the mainland will need to book ferry travel for their vehicle. Please see 'Travel by ferry' section above for more information.

A limited number of on-site car parking spaces at Newclose are available to purchase for those travelling by car.

All on-site car parking will be located on grass, so please be aware that surfaces may be wet or muddy if there is adverse weather ahead of the matchday.

Pay on the day car parking will be available - subject to availability - and once the on site car parks are full, supporters will be directed to park in one of the pay & display car parks in Newport. The ground is a 25-minute walk or short bus ride from there.

Season-long car parking pass holders, disabled guests and hospitality guests will be parked on site.

Season-long car parking passes will be valid to park at Newclose on a first come, first served basis. Members with a seasonal car parking pass were asked to register a car parking space before 1st August.

Members park & ride:

The Members park & ride service which includes all transport (incl. shuttle and ferry) from The Ageas Bowl to Newclose Cricket Ground, plus return journey to The Ageas Bowl after the fixture is sold out.

Members who have pre-booked this park & ride service will need to arrive at The Ageas Bowl by 6:45am on Tuesday 9th August ahead of buses leaving shortly after.

Entry, Opening & Closing Times | General Information

On-site car parks will open from 9:30am, ahead of gates opening at 10am.

Hampshire v Northamptonshire Steelbacks is set to commence at 11am and scheduled to finish at 6pm.

On the day ticket sales will be available at the Ticketing Tent located at Entrance 1, which will be open from 9:30am until 4pm.

Hampshire Cricket Members and pre-booked ticket holders can access the venue via Entrances 1, 2 and 3.

Newclose Map

Members can scan their Membership cards to gain access, whilst Members' guests and ticket holders should scan their printed ticket or e-ticket to gain access.

There is limited seating available for spectators to use at the venue. We recommend attendees should take camping chairs, picnic blankets or other seating options.

Newclose's pavilion is closed to spectators for this fixture other than to gain access to the accessible toilet facility.

The weather is expected to be sunny and hot. Please ensure you bring plenty of water, a hat and sun cream for sun protection.

Prohibited Items include - Glass, Musical Instruments, Flares, Laser Devices, Air Horns, Fireworks, Weapons, Whistles

Food & Drink

Concession units will be available at Newclose County Cricket Ground on Tuesday 9th August.

Enjoy hog roast, ice cream, burgers, wraps & baps at Newclose. Food will be served from gates opening at 10am and will cater for vegetarian and vegan dietary requirements.

A water tap will be available for spectators to fill water bottles on the car park side of the pavilion.

Bars will be open and located around the ground. Alcohol will be served from 11am until 30 minutes after the close of play.

The venue operates a strict ‘Challenge 25’ alcohol policy and as such anyone deemed to look Under 25 will be asked to provide photographic proof of their age, prior to being served alcohol.

Spectators can bring in small picnics of food, soft drinks and a maximum of four cans of beer or equivalent, or 70cl of wine can be brought into the ground for Hampshire's home Royal London Cup fixtures.

Please note, no glass can be taken into Newclose, therefore please decant wine and/or other food & drink stored within glass.

Newclose County Cricket Ground will be selling a Newclose Cricket Programme with a matchday scorecard on the day for £5.

Hampshire Cricket will also be selling a range of merchandise on the day at the on-site retail gazebo.
