Brad is an off-spinner and right-handed batsman.
He emerged through the Hampshire Emerging Players and Academy system and was the youngest player to appear in the Hampshire Under-17s side which reached the 2012 ECB County Championship final.
That led to a call-up for the England Development Programme XI in a three-day ‘Under-17 Test’ against Sri Lanka at Loughborough.
A young player of significant promise, he first played for the Hampshire Academy in 2012 but didn't feature regularly for them until 2013, when he took two four-wicket hauls against Alton and Ventnor in the June. The following month he particularly caught the eye by taking the wicket of Hampshire Captain, Jimmy Adams and that of former Hampshire player Lawrie Prittipaul while playing club cricket for the Academy against St Cross Symondians.
He represented the Club's second XI and his first senior appearance was in a friendly against Bangladesh A in August 2013 where he took 2-23 off seven overs and put on a last wicket partnership of 54 with Liam Dawson.
Aged just 16, the England Under 17 International from Holybourne near Alton, became the club's youngest ever limited overs player in that match and the youngest in any format since 1867.
In the absence of leading front-line spinner, Danny Briggs through International duty, Taylor was picked in the Hampshire team for a top-of-the-table Yorkshire Bank 40 clash with Lancashire later the same month, taking 2-50 from his eight overs including former Royal and Australian Test batsman, Simon Katich.
