Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

Since qualifying from Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in 1990, Debbie has worked in Nottingham, Australia and Southampton and has specialised in the treatment of shoulder problems since 1997. Debbie has previously worked with elite rugby teams and competitive sailing crews as a physiotherapist.

Debbie also works as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in the Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder Clinic at Southampton assessing a wide range of shoulder injuries, as well as patients who are recovering from surgery. She has completed a Masters in Injection Therapy module to enable her to inject shoulder patients when necessary with corticosteroid medication.

Debbie is also a co- author of a Topical Review collating the latest evidence for Arthritis Research UK on ‘Managing Rotator Cuff Disorders.
