This year’s dinner is to act as much more than an awards ceremony, with the evening also coupling as an opportunity to pay tribute to the Club’s talismanic Twenty20 captain Dimitri Mascarenhas, who is to retire at the end of the 2013 season.
Prizes awarded will include Batsman of the Year (sponsored by Hilton), Bowler of the Year (sponsored by Ringwood Brewery) and Players' Player of the Year (sponsored by Ageas).
What’s more, whilst the evening provides the opportune setting to look back over Dimi’s great career with Hampshire, it is to also act as the platform to start looking forward towards 2014, a season that is to mark 150 years since Hampshire’s first competitive match.
The evening will be hosted in the venue’s Ageas Suite, with the BBC’s Kevan James acting as compère. Tickets are priced at £50 per person, and are to include a three-course meal. There will also be cash bar provision.
