Royal London One-Day Cup

The Competition:

The Royal London One-Day Cup is the latest incarnation of List A county cricket, allowing both teams one innings of a maximum of 50 overs each.

Competition Format:

The competition sees the 18 First Class Counties competing across two groups.

The teams in each group play each other once with the top four from each progressing to the Quarter-Finals.

Hampshire’s Record:

In its various incarnations as a 40-over, 50-over and 55-over tournament, Hampshire have won the List A competition a total of nine times.

Their most recent success in the domestic List A competition was in 2012 and 2013; winning the competition in 2012 and losing in the Semi-Finals in 2013 having been the best group-stage qualifier in the country.

Other recent successes include in 2005 (as the Cheltenham and Gloucester Cup), when they beat Warwickshire. They were runners up in the competition in 2007.

2015 Opposition:

In 2015, Hampshire have been drawn in Group B along with Kent Spitfires, Sussex Sharks, Essex Eagles, Lancashire Lightning, Middlesex Panthers, Nottinghamshire Outlaws, Warwickshire and Glamorgan.
